We mourn the passing of Velma Towner, who passed on Saturday, October 8th. Velma was CJ Towner’s wife for over 54 years. Although it is not the norm to notify you of the passing of our members’ spouses, we are are doing so because many of you, who have been in the industry for many years, would either have worked with, known, or have been assisted by CJ in his capacity as Local 569’s business rep from 2004 – 2012. Velma exuded warmth and was fiercely protective of her family and gave back much to IBEW 569 members and events.
There is no information yet on a public service/Celebration of Life for Velma, but if there is one, we will update this post.
