IBEW 569 donated $10,000 to Unions United – this organization provides emergency services to working families in crisis, including food assistance, utilities assistance, and rent and mortgage assistance via United Way of San Diego!
The fund – otherwise known as the Unions United Emergency Assistance Fund – receives contributions from unions, union members, and other community members/organizations, and helps families that are struggling due to lay-offs, injury or illness, or strikes. Unions United mainly serves union members but also serves the general public.
IBEW 569 was also proud help out at the United Way & Labor Council Holiday Food & Toy distributions in both San Diego and Imperial Counties! Thanks to all the volunteers and unions that made this possible!
