We mourn the passing of Journeyman Inside Wireman Brother Marvin Allen, who was 58 years old, and had been a Local 569 member for over 22 years.
Brother Allen began his Local 569 career as a 2nd-step Apprentice Inside Wireman, in 
late 1998. He honed his craft at Neal, Sunburst, Joe Gapper, Dynalectric, National Electric Works (NEW), and Robinson Electric. Marvin would graduate to Journeyman Inside Wireman while with Robinson.
As a Journeyman, he was dispatched to Bechtel, in mid-2010, and would stay for several months. Marvin didn’t mind working in Imperial Valley, as he would be dispatched (twice) to Dynalectric to work on the solar farms.
Then a dispatch to Paynecrest (also Imperial Valley) ensued. By 2017, Marvin decided to move to Arkansas, where he was living. Even though thousands of miles away, Marvin still ‘stayed in touch’.
Brother Allen was truly a kind soul, and he will be greatly missed.
