Spring 2018 Journeyman Classes – Available Now – Featuring Foremanship and EVITP!

The classes listed in this schedule are designed for I.B.E.W. Local 569 members who wish to further their education. If you are interested in attending Journeyman classes at the Training Center, please read through this schedule and follow the simple registration instructions.

One of the featured classes is “Basic Foremanship.” Entry-level foremen or those who wish to move into a foreman role will greatly benefit from Basic Foremanship. This course covers essential topics for early-career foreman, such as the foreman’s role, documentation, mobilizing the job for success, maintaining a safe job and project closeout. This blended learning course will be a combination of online modules that are taken before in-seat discussion sessions. Participants are required to complete these online modules and actively participate in the in-seat learning group discussions.

Another featured class and certification is the ELECTRIC VEHICLE INFRASTRUCTURE TRAINING PROGRAM (EVITP)! NOTE: EVITP certifications will only be issued by EVITP to CA state-certified general electricians with a passing score on the EVITP final exam and a minimum of 18 hours of attendance. The Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) has been established to provide the Electric Vehicle Transportation sector of the electrical industry, and all stakeholders, a structured platform to facilitate training and certification for the installation of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) across Residential and Commercial/Public markets. The program addresses the technical requirements, safety imperatives and performance integrity of industry partners. Students must pass the hands-on and written to successfully complete the course.
