We mourn the passing of Sister “Maribel” María Nuñez, who passed on August 4, 2019, from Stage IV bone cancer. She was 60 years old, and had been a member for over 5 years.
Maria had secured previous construction experience, prior to her being dispatched to Rosendin Electric, in 2013. As she wrote on her application (under Special Skills), she enjoyed and had great “. . . ability to work with . . . [her] hands.” Over the next five years, Maria continued to work in her chosen field, for contractors such as: D & R (twice), Blattner, M. A. Mortenson Company, and Cupertino Electric. Maria was a well-respected member of her Imperial Valley community. She was loved and will be missed by many.
