We mourn the passing of Inside Wireman Thomas J. (TJ) Giambruno – he was 29 years old when he passed on October 6th.
Brother Giambruno began his career with IBEW Local 569 as a Shopman Helper, with Sloan Electric in December 2014. While he worked almost 2 years at Sloan Electric, he saw an even better future with this Local, and applied for our apprenticeship Wireman program. He was dispatched as an apprentice wireman on December 6, 2016, to Sullivan Electric. While that job lasted a couple of weeks, he would be dispatched to Dynalectric on December 28, 2016, and he remained with them for the rest of his too-short career.
During his time with IBEW Local 569, “TJ” really made an impact. He always volunteered his time to help with canvassing during election time, was a solid member of our Legislative Committee, and consistently gave his steadfast energy toward Union causes. We will miss him greatly.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11 am – 1 pm, on Sun., October 29th, at Rohr Park in Chula Vista, 4548 Sweetwater Road, Chula Vista. The Celebration will be held at Pavilion/Gazebo R-1. Following the celebration of life, there will be a reception at 3pm. The address for the reception is 3233 Market Street, San Diego, 92102.
