Last Saturday, our EWMC (Electrical Workers Minority Caucus) created and hosted a Winter Wonderland for hundreds of community members in the Hilltop Community of San Diego District 4 with Council President Myrtle Cole.
With their sponsors — IBEW 569/NECA, Diamond BID, Assemblymember Dr. Shirley Weber, and GRID Alternatives – and 60 volunteers, EWMC filled a vacant lot with snow and surprises. Children threw snowballs, created snow angels, and built snowmen, and for some children – it was the first time seeing and playing in snow. The event commemorates and celebrates the EWMC installed holiday lighting on the bridge near the 805 and Imperial.
We applaud our EWMC and IBEW 569 members for continuously giving back to our communities and lighting up the holidays.
