FIRST VEEP COHORT GRADUATES TO APPRENTICESHIP ADMISSION

We graduated San Diego’s first cohort of the Veterans Electrical Entry Program (VEEP). #VEEP provides pre-apprenticeship training for those who have served our country. Graduates earn direct entry into their choice of over 300 apprenticeship programs around the country, including our program right here in San Diego.

Julius Washington, 6-year Navy active duty: “I was at a question mark in my life and didn’t know what I was going to do. This program found me and set me up for a great opportunity.” Julius is a graduate of the Veterans Electrical Entry Program (VEEP) first cohort at our Electrical Training Institute and will be starting his apprenticeship in San Diego – beginning of a lifelong career as a union electrician and power professional. Welcome to the #IBEW family!

Congratulations to Lucas Wilson, 9-year Navy vet: “My job in the Navy didn’t transfer to anything on the outside, so I had a big question of what I would do to support my family. Some nights I couldn’t even sleep because of the anxiety. VEEP answered that question and let me know I’d have a well-paying job to support my family” Lucas is a graduate of the first cohort of Veterans Electrical Entry Program (VEEP). He will be staying in San Diego and starting his apprenticeship soon at Electrical Training Institute. Welcome to the #IBEW569 family!
