From Business Manager Johnny Simpson:
Congratulations to Brother C.J. Towner, Business Representative, on his retirement! C.J. has served my administration and Al Shur’s administration in a professional manner, and has always had the best interest of our membership in his heart. C.J.’s unique talents and personality have always been a huge plus to our local union and enabled him to resolve any problems or issues in a fair and equitable manner for our members. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all your hard work and dedication to our membership. The membership of Local 569 and the IBEW wish you well in your retirement!
IBEW 569 is proud to welcome our newest Business Representative, Kevin Alvin. For those of you who don’t know Kevin, he is a journey-level electrician. He has served the Local Union in various capacities. He is a Worksite Delegate, a member of the Legislative Committee, the Brotherhood Committee and the Market Recovery Committee. Kevin was elected as a Convention Delegate, and his most recent role was serving as an elected member of the Executive Board.
Kevin has hit the ground running. He is using his experience in the field and in union leadership to serve IBEW 569 members in the field. Kevin is learning the ropes by working alongside retiring Business Representative C.J. Towner. Kevin will represent all the units serviced by C.J. Towner. He will service the Inside Construction Agreement and represent the Local Union when we have Project Labor Agreements. You can contact Kevin Alvin at the Union Hall or by email, kalvin@ibew569.org.
