We mourn the passing of Retired J.W. Thomas Aeling, who was 84 years old, and had been a Local 569 member for over 60 years.
Brother Aeling was already a Korean War veteran, by the time he was accepted into our apprenticeship program in mid-1955. He graduated and became a J.W. in Jan. 1959. He found a “home” at Fischbach & Moore, staying with them from 1967 – 1978, and during the 80’s including the Intercontinental Hotel proeject. . Then he was dispatched to Bell Electric in 1978, and he stayed with them for the next 2 years.
Brother Aeling fully retired in early 1994. He is survived by his widow, Joan.
Services will be held on Thurs., Sept. 1st, at 10 am, at St. John of The Cross Parish, located at 8086 Broadway Ave., Lemon Grove, CA 91945-2598.
